A small Winnipeg academy with a serious mission.
Manitoba Learn is a project-based AI creation academy for teenagers. We help young Manitobans become digital creators — not passive consumers of technology that's reshaping their world.

Why I started Manitoba Learn.
I've spent my career in cybersecurity, technology governance and risk — the unglamorous work of making sure powerful systems are used responsibly. When generative AI exploded, I noticed two things at once.
First: this is the most important creative tool any teenager will ever pick up. Second: most teenagers were learning it the wrong way — copying homework, scrolling AI slop, and treating it like a cheat code rather than a craft.
I started Manitoba Learn because Winnipeg deserves a serious place where young people learn to build real things with AI, with adult supervision, ethical guardrails, and the kind of structure that turns curiosity into capability.
Every cohort is small. I teach every class. Parents get my email. That's the deal.

Educator at heart
"Teenagers don't need another tutorial. They need a place where adults take them seriously, hand them powerful tools, and stay in the room while they figure out who they want to be with them."

What we believe
Build, don't just consume.
Every week ends with a finished, shippable project. No exceptions.

Every student is seen and supported. We will never pack a class.
Ethics is part of the curriculum.
Privacy, honesty, copyright, bias — taught alongside the tools, not after.

We're a real Winnipeg program. Parents can call us. Founder included.
Outcomes over buzzwords.
We care more about a deployed app than about name-dropping models.
Open to all teenagers.
